Registering with Calgary Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department
Our emergency services rank in the top 5% of North America in terms of sophistication and level of services. Our ambulances carry epinephrine and there are personnel on every ambulance who are qualified to use it.
Anyone with anaphylaxis can register with the EMS department. During an emergency call, this information can be viewed by the dispatchers, who can then determine the appropriate support required and advise the emergency personnel accordingly. They can also view the history of previous transports if applicable.
